RECAP: Harry Potter Mystery Night Youth Event

On New Year’s Eve, our teens enjoyed a night in Hogwarts led by alumni of our youth group. We made Fluvonium in Potions class with Prof Slughorn, identified and potted plants with Prof Sprout, had a morose sing-a-long in the girls’ lavatory with Moaning Myrtle, and received a series of stern lectures from Prof McGonagall. The best part of the night was sipping down cold butterbeer and enjoying Hob Nobs, Tim Tams, Maltesers, and Helga Hufflepuff’s ooey gooey gluten-free chocolate chip cookies! Enjoy the photos below and thanks to all the house elves who are still recovering from a long night of service.

RECAP: Youth Christmas Party

On December 8th, the youth got together for a night of candy making, trivia, and a very competitive white elephant gift exchange. The highlight of the night was the Make Your Own Bark Bar, where they could design their own chocolate bark using anything from Oreos and Candy Canes to Pretzels and Potato Chips. In a surprising twist to the evening, the most coveted gift was a computer mouse.
